What Do You Know About Our Rock Star Chapter President?

His name is Nick Orsini, and he is presently a junior studying international studies with a focus on world business and economics. He is minoring in Brazilian Portuguese and entrepreneurship. But, wait … there’s more.

Nick is a graduate of The Villages Charter High School in Florida where he was a member of the National Honor Society. He has served as an assistant soccer coach for The Villages Middle School.

Prior to being elected president of our Ohio Zeta Chapter, Nick served as philanthropy chair. In this position, he:

  • created a service program in collaboration with Big Brother Big Sister Organization of Columbus
  • directed a 500+-person “Man Auction” event to raise awareness and funding for the Ohio State’s Wexner Medical Center and their ALS Research Lab as well as St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in collaboration with the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity
  • created the first ever “Phi Delt Fight Night” to raise awareness and funding the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center and their ALS Research Lab
  • raised a total revenue of $13,500 from the two events with a profit exceeding $11,000

For three months in 2014, Nick served as the Community Direct of Service for the IFC. During this time, he helped run and plan out the annual Walk-A-Mile event for Ohio State. He maintained communication with the vice president of community development and numerous other contacts to help make the event happen.

Elected by 95 members of the Ohio Zeta Chapter in October 2014 to serve as their president, Nick is now responsible for:

  • overseeing and managing an executive board of 16 members
  • helping to manage a $350,000 budget
  • launching a multimillion-dollar fundraising campaign for a new house
  • submitting weekly and monthly reports to Ohio State and Phi Delta Theta GHQ

Additionally, Nick is the co-founder of CampusFit, a business “providing the greater Columbus area and students with an affordable personal training service.”
