Ohio State Linebackers Added to Butkus Award Watch List
This football season is definitely going to be one that puts you on the edge of your seat. Last year, the Buckeyes finished with an 11-2 record, losing only to Penn State and Clemson in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl.
Dare we say Ohio State could finally achieve that sought-after undefeated season?
We’ve got a killer lineup this year with 19 players on preseason watch lists (check out the lists here)!
Most recently, Jerome Baker and Christopher Worley were named to the Butkus Award watch list on Monday, July 17. Named after Illinois legend Dick Butkus, this award goes to the top linebacker in college football every season. If either of them win, they’ll be following in the footsteps of James Laurinaitis, who won the award in 2007.
Overall, we look forward to an exciting season from the Buckeyes. Have your own predictions for the season? Let us know in the comments below!
